Walker Colt Pruett: Day 38

This morning Walker still looked great in his little outfit, what a big boy! Daddy and Papa came by to visit him early this morning and then headed to town to New Beginnings Worship Center. They had a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Walker and Daddy and Papa enjoyed listening to a great message and eating a wonderful lunch with wonderful people!

Mommy and Granny had a fun time getting to hang out with lil man. They even got to sneak in a little shopping for Walker to get the last few things he needed from Babies R US. Walker did well today with his breathing and was around 28-33% oxygen throughout the day. We are also working on figuring out what temperature to have his bed set on to keep him at a constant and comfortable temperature now that he is wearing clothes and weighing more! He did well with his feedings of 18cc today and only had one feeding where he had about 5cc leftover, his temperature was also 100.4 so the nurse said that warm temperature probably caused him to have that leftover milk. So we got him cooled down slowly and he did well for the rest of the day.

Walker also had lots of visitors today, this morning his Aunt Jeanette and his cousin Justin and his great grandpa came and got to see him. Aunt Nette even got to help the little guy with a diaper change and getting dressed again. He also had a visit from Mimi and Bart who had been on a cruise and hadn't seen the little guy in a week. They were amazed at how much bigger he looked, and at how adorable he was in his outfit! Mamaw and Papaw Pruett also came by this afternoon, and Mamaw even got to change her first diaper! Walker loved having all the family visiting and he was showing off how handsome he looked on his cannula!

This evening Mommy and Daddy got to give Walker another bath one of their favorite activities and he didn't seem to mind it at first. During his bath, about half way through he seemed to get a little mad, but for the most part he handled it well! Mommy and Daddy got him all dried off and dressed in a new, but just as cute, monkey outfit! Walker even got a new bed tonight, what a good night sleep he is going to get all clean with new clean clothes and in a clean bed! Walker looked so precious and very comfortably tucked in when Mommy and Daddy and Granny left for the night.

We want to say thank you again for everyone who has done so much to help us during this time. It is too many people and too many things to try and list, but we can't do or say enough to express our very sincere thankfulness at how God is using his people to bless us so much!
